Charleston Harbor Resort Wedding

We are in the thick of summer, and I’m loving every minute of it. It means more time outside at the beach, one of my favorite places. One of my recent weddings allotted me not only to travel to the coast, but to one of my all-time favorite southern cities, Charleston! If you’ve followed me for a while, you’ll notice I travel to Charleston often, for both pleasure and work! It’s such an amazing place, I can’t get enough. So you can imagine my excitement when I got to shoot at a beautiful venue for a Charleston Harbor Resort wedding.

On the day of Kaylin and Hunter’s wedding, the heavens opened and did not relent. There was quite a bit of rain throughout the day, meaning they had to choose their backup plan for their ceremony. However, that didn’t damper the joy these two had for marrying one another! Additionally, it’s well-known rain on your wedding day is a sign of good luck 😉 This meant we had to get a bit creative with the shots we were able to take. So when there was a brief reprieve in the weather, we made a mad dash outside to capture some images! I’m glad we were able to pull it together because the images on the sandy beach are some of my favorites!

Coastal Details Fit for a Charleston Wedding

I loved the colors and details of this coastal summer wedding. The bride put her creative touches on her decor by making a lot of the signage herself. She did an incredible job! As far as the design, the color palette consisted of peaches and pinks, which tied together so nicely with the coastal accents. I was smitten with their wedding cake adorned with seashells! Another one of my favorite design details was the personalized marquee light sign on the dance floor with their last name. It made for some incredible photos and certainly made an impact!
