Downtown Charleston Senior Session with Kaitlyn

This session is special, really special. All of my seniors hold a special place in my heart, but since Kaitlyn is my daughter, that makes her the most special of all. Although she has been the subject of my photography work for years, she’s always up for a photo shoot. I may be biased, but Kaitlyn takes beautiful photos and we had a blast working together for her downtown Charleston senior session.

Mother and Daughter Adventure in Charleston

If you’ve been a follower of mine even for a brief time, it’s no secret Charleston is my favorite place. The homes, the shopping, the dining, and the overall aesthetic make this town so special. Recently Kaitlyn and I took a girls trip to Charleston and had the best time. Of course, shopping on King Street and at City Market was on our agenda. And you can bet we always make the drive to Mt. Pleasant to eat at our favorite restaurant, Grimaldi’s.

However, it wouldn’t be a trip to Charleston without taking some photos! Since Kaitlyn is a recent high school graduate and has a senior photographer as a mom, we decided to do a downtown Charleston senior session! Maybe this was my plan all along 😉 Either way, she entertained my idea and we hit the city streets to take some beautiful photos.

While editing these photos I’d be lying if I didn’t get a little teary-eyed seeing how my baby girl is now a full-blown woman, and a gorgeous one at that! Kaitlyn, you are the light of my life, and this trip and these photos meant so much to me. Thank you for being one of my best friends!
