Historic Downtown Charleston Spring Engagement

Rachael and Matthew are just the perfect match for one another. I loved spending an afternoon exploring with them for their historic downtown Charleston spring engagement session!

As you all probably know, Charleston is my favorite location for engagement sessions because of how many beautiful options there are! We really did explore a ton of historic downtown! We went to so many amazing locations! Some of my favorite places to take photos in Charleston are around rainbow row, Tradd Street, and any of the historic churches. I love the variety we are able to get doing photos here because of the colorful homes and the florals blooming in the spring!

Their Love Story

Rachael and Matthew met in high school and they were best friends the last two years. They did absolutely everything together! She said everyone always said they would end up together but they kept denying it! Then, Matthew joined the Army and she saw him when he would come home for Christmas or other events.

They reconnected about 2.5 years ago when Rachael decided to buy a plane ticket to fly to Texas to visit him. She said it was the best week ever and the most fun she’s had in her entire life! She knew after that week she would marry him one day.

And here we are!! They did the long distance relationship for about a year until he moved to Charleston. Now they have two fur baby dogs, just closed on their first home, and they’re getting married next year!! They are getting married next April at the amazing Legend Oaks Country Club in Charleston.
