Vineyard Wedding in Asheville | Caroline & Mitchell

When the wide-open Carolina sky meets the Blue Ridge Mountains, I am speechless almost every time. Heading to this vineyard wedding in Asheville at Point Lookout Vineyards was no exception! This gorgeous venue is just about 35 minutes south of Asheville. Undoubtedly, it was the perfect setting for Caroline and Mitchell’s wedding this past May.

The ceremony space is nestled right next to the main reception hall and lends itself to a stunning mountain view. You literally couldn’t have asked for more perfect weather if you tried. The forecast was partly cloudy and a high of 72, it was magic. After a heartfelt wedding ceremony, guests headed to the patio for cocktail hour while I worked on wedding party and family portraits.

For the remainder of the evening, guests mingled, filled their bellies, and danced the night away in the pavilion. I loved the cabin vibes of the reception space, it was so cozy and inviting. Additionally, being situated on the hilltop with a perfect mountain view made for some amazing photos. This venue is a wonderful choice if you’re looking to have a vineyard wedding in Asheville!

Caroline & Mitchell’s Engagement Story

If you’re like me, you love a good love story, so I love getting to know the scoop on how my clients met. A few years ago, Caroline saw Mitchell’s epic dance moves at a wedding which piqued her interest. Once they began hanging out, they hit it off and the rest is history. After dating for a few years, Mitchell knew he had to put a ring on it! Their proposal is so romantic – Mitchell really knocked it out of the park!

Caroline’s ring was ready 2 weeks ahead of schedule, so Mitchell decided on a whim to drive 11 hours to pick it up the morning before a work trip. He did this so he could fly Caroline out to meet him in Colorado while he was working and he could make the proposal happen there! While walking to their dinner reservation one cold December night in Breckenridge, they stopped to take some photos under some lights. Of course, this little detour was no surprise to Mitchell, as he hired a photographer to capture the proposal. While taking some selfies under the lights, Mitchell seized the opportunity to ask Caroline to marry him and she excitedly said “yes”! I’m so grateful she did, so we could work together. Their wedding planner referred me to them and I am forever grateful.

I love my couples and I love photographing their love stories. So, if you need a wedding photographer, contact me, and let’s chat!
