The Importance of Photographing Wedding Day Details

Being a part of the most special day of a couple’s lives is something I’ll never take for granted! From seeing the tear in the groom’s eye as the bride walks down the aisle to watching the bride’s grandparents share a slow dance on the dance floor. Every aspect of a wedding day is important to me, and I’m grateful to capture it all! Today I’m going to share some information on the importance of capturing wedding day details.

Undoubtedly, a wedding photographer’s job is to capture all aspects of the day. Typically we think of the big moments (like the ceremony, first dance, toasts, and cake cutting). However, the small details should not be overlooked! Often times couples spend countless hours focusing just as much on the small details as the big ones. For this reason, it’s important to hire a photographer that puts an emphasis on documenting every aspect of your wedding. This ensures that you will get to relive the details of your wedding for years to come. Perhaps in 10 years, you forgot exactly what your guest book display looked like. However, if you go back through your photo gallery, you’ll find a photo of it for reference!

Wedding Day Details Captured on Your Special Day

Throughout the day, your photographer will capture any special detail that is specific to your wedding. From a welcome sign to a seating chart display to a memory table with photos of loved ones. All of these important aspects of your day should be cherished forever. I’d be sure to capture it all if I was your wedding photographer!

Couples will also need to bring personal items on-site for me to document. Details that brides and grooms usually bring are a personalized hanger for the bride’s dress, bridesmaids’ hangers, the veil, any bouquet details, vow books, jewelry, bride’s perfume, groom’s cologne, shoes, invitation suite with other paper details, both wedding rings, and other accessories for the groom such as cuff links, socks, a watch, and the boutonniere. If you are one of my clients, I ensure you get a list of what you should bring before your wedding day.

If details are important to you, we are probably the perfect fit as they are important to me, too. Are you curious about learning more about what I can offer for your wedding? Head here for more information!
