Colorful Downtown Asheville Wedding with Katie & Adam

One thing I love about Asheville is the variety of wedding venues! From barns nestled in the seclusion of the mountains to industrial spaces in the heart of downtown, there are some wonderful gems in our city! Today I’m sharing Katie and Adam’s downtown Asheville wedding that was held at Hi-wire Brewing, which yes, has an event space! If you love beer and funky downtown vibes, you’d love this wedding venue.

Before sharing the details of their wedding day, let’s find out about their love story! Katie and Adam both worked for a hospital in Myrtle Beach. Katie does PR and Adam is a trauma nurse. (They have since moved to Asheville.). She frequently asks for members of the trauma team to do media interviews, educational videos, social media spots, etc. This is how their first meeting came to be. One serendipitous day, Adam noticed that Katie was a Type 1 diabetic with her insulin pump and glucose monitor on her arm. He pulled up his scrub sleeve and showed her his matching monitor as well. From that point, they bonded over shared stories and pain points. Katie had always thought Adam was cute but had been misinformed by multiple people that he was married! Fortunately, that turned out to be false information as he asked her out via Facebook messenger.

They’ve been together since August 2020 and have enjoyed going on adventures with their four (yes, four!) dogs, playing golf, listening to live music, traveling, cooking, crafting, and brewery hopping! Undoubtedly, their love of breweries is what lead them to find a unique event space for their wedding, and I’d say it fit them perfectly!

A Wedding with an Unexpected Theme

One of the most unique aspects of this downtown Asheville wedding was the theme and the color palette. I can’t say I’ve ever been a part of a wedding that was circus themed before, however, there’s a first time for everything! Not that this couple isn’t fond of the fun and excitement of a good circus, but with a last name like Czerwinski (first syllable pronounced “cir”), you’ve got to make the most of it. They decided on the hashtag #lifesaczercus and that’s how the theme came to be! The fun and colorful details were a delight to capture, every aspect showcased the couple’s style and personality.
