Craggy Gardens Elopement | Lisa & Brad | Asheville Elopement Photographer

This was my first time hiking up to the top of the pinnacle at Craggy Gardens and my second elopement I’ve had the pleasure of photographing.  I first met Lisa & Brad at a private residence in East Asheville to photograph some detail/getting ready shots and then we all drove out to the picnic area at Craggy Gardens for the elopement.  We all hiked up the mountain to a small wooden gazebo with a gorgeous view of the mountains.  They had their ceremony there followed by a sweet prayer and a kiss.  We then walked down the trail and drove up the parking lot near the pinnacle.  Everyone changed their dress shoes to hiking boots and then we all made our way up to the top of the pinnacle stopping along the way to get some cool shots.  The views were gorgeous and breathtaking when we reached the top.  It was definitely worth the hike.

Fun facts about their day:

Lisa walked all the way up to the gazebo in her 4 inch heels (yes, I was amazed)

Lisa walked down from the gazebo in her son’s socks in the mud (can I say super laid back bride)

The minister carried my camera gear for me up and down from the gazebo (super nice)

Brad swore it was just a “short walk” up to the gazebo (15 minutes later)…and I told him I should have charged him more (truth)

I couldn’t have asked for a sweeter family to spend my Saturday with.  You guys were awesome to work with and I hope you enjoy your photos as much as I enjoyed meeting all of you!!  Many thanks to all of the vendors who made their day the best!!
